About the Textile Resource Center

World-Wide Collaboration

Although many of the team members have never met in person, thanks to the magic of technology the team meets online weekly to coordinate workflow, and discuss news, success and challenges. Team members have complementary strengths in diverse areas such as database management, programming, web design, photography, education, digital art, computer pattern drafting, tailoring, weaving, embroidery, sewing, draping, costume and fashion design, and of course, fabric and textiles

While the key players in this project are geographically distant, each is linked by mutual interest in textiles.  The mandate was, and is, the creation of an open access resource for textile enthusiasts, professionals, and those who simply want to know more about the fabrics that surround, cover and clothe them every day.

Catherine Bradley is the driving force behind the Textile Resource Center. She directs the team in what could easily be a life-long project showcasing our rich textile heritage.
